Politics can be viewed as a convention that is inextricably linked to
diversification and conflict, but it can also be seen as a readiness to
co-operate and act altogether. The ongoing lack of political participation in
our contemporary society makes me curious. I am confident that after a certain
time political participation has worsened because of our society loosing the
interest. Thus it is my desire to examine and study closely why the general
political participation has deteriorated and who is to blame for consequences
it had.

Studying international relations will enable me to combine subjects such
as Politics which i have loved since being first introduced to Eurasian
politics through my University teacher, who was a former local politician.  Conversations with her increased my interest
for political world and issues taking place worldwide, starting from Why Democracy is
associated with Victory  and ending up with
the Determinants of Nuclear Proliferation.  My geat grandfather had volunteered in 1945
year battle and many stories told by him increased my knowledge in World
history. Being an enthusiastic and highly motivated student i would love to get
to know and undergo the challenges which such a prestigious course would
provide me. Studying Political and social science at University strengthened my
appreciation for these subjects. I comprehend that disciplines are related to each
other, in particular when concerned with well-being of our society.
International Relations examine the relationship between nations and policies
that are developed.

What I pursue to investigate is not just how the policies are formed but
the moral and the principles behind them and why they are successful or
unsuccessful in society. Studying sociology at the University has made me look
at the sociological view of international relations and also compare any
theories and political ideologies. My study of Intercultural communication with
media at the second term has enabled me to evolve the analytical skills
required to fully comprehend complicated texts and has given me the knowledge
of the influence of media in politics and the importance for politicians having
media on their side. My passion for these subjects goes beyond an academic
aspect. I am keen on reading book such as “The Globalization of World Politics”,
this will help me to broaden my knowledge of international relations and to
what extent its effects are seen in modern society. I often attend University
debates held in Almaty and other regions of Kazakhstan, these have expanded my
knowledge on topics ranging from political ideologies to international
policies, all of which I have found extremely useful. Being a part of
“Think Outside” debating group, I represented my school on a various
debating topics, having obtained successful results. Last year I travelled to
Samarkand where I had an insight into the culture and tradition of the
native-born people, this expanded my political and cultural knowledge and also
underlined the importance of family structure. Having visited various countries
and learning about their structure of policies and to what extent it helps
their society has inspired me to chase a career in international relations and
politics. It’s my desire to learn new political and international approaches
and analysis which will give me the proper foundations and broaden my
knowledge. The above-mentioned reasons lead my will to study politics
and international relations; I believe it will give me the confidence that will
make me better to deal with high demand this course requires.  Being a part of school council ultimately
inspired my drive for debating in which I represented my debating group at
competitions held on national level. Eventually, I am proud of my ability to
combine both study and a school life successfully.
